A badge for Beavers that turns a visit to Cleeve Common into something that stick
Developed with the Cleeve Common Trust, the challenge helps Beavers explore the hill on their doorstep, understand who looks after it, and do something practical to help. Any local Beaver Colony can take part — it isn’t only for 1st Gotherington.

1. Fundraising
Beavers invent a way to raise money for the Trust — gloves for volunteers, hay for the cattle, tools, or a day of Ranger time.
2. Who’s grazing?
Using the NoFence map, they find the Belted Galloway cattle on the Common, count them, and work out where their paddock is.
3. Visit the Common
They walk the accessible Tramper Trail, spotting landmarks, wildlife clues and the views over the villages below.
4. Habitat explorers
They find five habitats — grassland, scrub, woodland, water and a tiny “micro” habitat — and note what lives in each.
